Mr. Bonaduce is an amazing person. This guy went from obscurity to stardom, then to skid row and back. He tells all in this book. From the Partridge Family days of his youth, to the drugs and sleeping in his car of adolescence, up to his success with reality TV and radio. If you like Intervention, or enjoy rooting for the underdog, you'll love this book. I personally have read it three times, and occasionally looked back at favorite passages while dealing with my own personal drug addiction. Several years after I first read this book, I happened to take a trip to Hollywood with my wife. We actually ran into Mr. Bonaduce on Hollywood Blvd. in the middle of the day! He must've been feeling nostalgic, and decided to walk thru his old stomping grounds. (We met him across from Mann's Chinese Theater-this is where he'd park his car at night to sleep.) I was shocked, I told my wife, "That was Danny Bonaduce!" She's been looking the other way when he'd passed, and once I pointed him out, she ran to catch up with him. He was very nice, and posed for pictures with us both. In my starstruck state, I snapped the picture with the sun to his back. He was nice enough to mention that we'd probably make a better picture if I had the sun to my back! What a great guy! I managed to tell him that I'd read his book several times, to which he replied, "Oh, good! Thank you!" (The picture my wife took of us is now on my facebook page, [...] ) He'll probably never know that he made our trip to Hollywood. I couldn't think of who else I'd have rather run into, besides maybe William Shatner...

Great book. Like a car accident you can’t look away from.
I just read this book which was written quite a few years ago. He is absolutely funny as can be. I love humor that a person can direct at himself. He does this so well. We had Danny in Detroit for a while, but as I only listen to news, I never heard him although all of my friends listened to him. He has been everywhere and done everything. I would recommmend this book to everyone and wish that a part two would come along. As I said, I really enjoyed this book. He is a survivor and blames any of his human failings on himself and not external catalysts. I would love to meet him someday and just visit. That seems to be the kind of person he is. He would just chat with anyone. I hope the remainder of his life is just filled with great happiness. He deserves it.
This book came out before the more recent show, Breaking Bonaduce, and it certainly reveals how clever, honest and funny Bonaduce can be - in print. Perhaps it caught the public's attention and saved his flagging celebrity. It was certainly an entertaining read..at the time.

But that was then and it seems that Bonaduce has had to go to more extreme lengths to maintain the public's attention. That includes his most recent decision to appear on a reality show, Breaking Bonaduce. Unfortunately, having watched nearly every episode of Breaking Bonaduce, I can't help but wonder at where his ego ends and the truth begins. It has given me a different perspective on the book, if only in hindsight.

In the book (just as on the television show) he SEEMS to be honest about his drug addiction, his rehab, and his contrition. Far from being a braggart, he actually disparages himself, leading one to think that perhaps he is facing up to unpleasant realities - and making some serious changes in his life.

Perhaps he truly was doing so when he wrote this book. But my opinion of him has dropped more than a few notches since the recent show appeared and I saw his willingness to expose not just himself but his wife, his children and a therapist (who seem clearly baffled and out of his element at times) to his erratic behavior - and "erratic" is putting it nicely.

It is one thing to reveal himself on the written page but quite another to expose his family to public humiliation. The show has gotten plenty of attention, but the type that usually accompanies car wrecks- you can't HELP but look... but mostly in horror. I just hope this is a low point in Bonaduce's checkered career and that he can pull himself back from the brink before it is too late.
He pulls no punches, on himself, even leaving in the humiliating and illegal behavior, a lively read and more fascinating then you might think.
I love Danny Bonaduce's radio program, and he is hilarious. This book is very honest about his life and former years of substance abuse. I would recomend this book to anyone who enjoys Breaking Bonaduce, or any of Danny Bonaduce's radio shows. You won't find much in here about the Partridge Family, if that's what you expect to read. Mr. Bonaduce describes his various legal scrapes, he is witty and his stories are funny, I cannot help but laugh the comedy and the irony of it all. Unlike other celebrity biographies, Danny Bonaduce does not blame others for his issues, takes full accountability for his actions. "Random Acts of Badness" is light-hearted, funny, and upbeat.
A note to any perspective readers, the book is out of print, and I looked extensively for an affordable copy on Ebay, but that was hard to come by,and those sellers were charging outrageous amounts for the book. The only other site I was able to find copies of this book was on Mr. Bonaduce's website, and he was not charging as much as the sellers on Ebay were! I recommend buying a copy here on . com because this book was hard to come by.
OH BOY! NOW THIS WAS A FUN READ! You literally find yourself experiencing a wide range of emotions- from funny laughs to sad tears. This is for sure a roller coaster ride. It is amazing the things that go on in Hollywood and I felt that this really gives you a good, honest look into that lifestyle and how it really impacts celebrities.

Despite making some really poor choices and doing some really bad things- you still want to root for Danny. Still do!
