From Duty to Daddy edition by Sue MacKay Contemporary Romance eBooks Reviews
Here is a typical military love story. Boy meets girl, has wild two weeks, leaves for adventure (sure he was in the military and sent to a war zone). Now years later he starts to wander about her. He goes and finds her. Marshall finds out that Charlie had his child and had been looking for him. He had deleted his email address after he left her. Both are doctors, she has secrets not about their child. Now they both need to grow and understand each others lives. I will be looking at more books by Sue MacKay.
In From Duty to Daddy Sue MacKay, Army medic, Marshall Hunter has never been able to get beautiful Charlie Lang out of his head. Their unforgettable fling could have turned into something more beautiful but his commitment to the forces ended his relationship with Charlie. After two years, he is still unable to pass up one last opportunity to see Charlie again. Except the little girl playing in her garden proves that she's been able to move on even if he hasn't. Only, Charlie has a life-changing surprise in store for Marshall.
From Duty to Daddy Sue MacKay was a cute little medical romance with an equally cute cover. I usually don't pay so much attention to the cover because most of the time they don't reflect the story but this one was different because the cover really summarizes what the story is all about. Charlie and Marshall were both multi dimensional characters who had so much to like. The medical details were enough and well written. I would have liked a little more focus on the lead characters than other side characters but that's just my personal choice. If you like the inclusion side characters to a greater extent in a romance than you may like this.
Overall, From Duty to Daddy Sue MacKay is a cute medical romance about second chances at love. With a focus more on the emotional side than on the physical.
I didn't care for this book at all and struggled with skipping forward since it seemed to move so slowly. Army medic Marshall Hunter leaves Charlie (Charlotte) Lang to serve in Afghanistan. He is crazy about her but knows his life is committed to the military. He gave her his email address and then decides to delete it because hearing from her would be too painful. She has desperately searched for him for hours every day. She was trying to reach him to let him know he was going to be a father. Then she became very ill with cancer and again tried relentlessly to find him to see if he would raise their daughter if she passed away. This woman walked through hell. When he goes on leave he knows he has to go see her. She has never left his mind in the two years he's been gone. Is he ever in for a shock when he shows up. He feels badly that he wasn't there for her but apparently not bad enough. He stays a short while and still views the military as his life and leaves Charlie and his daughter again.
It was long and drawn out and, of course, he didn't come to his senses until the very end. Very frustrating story but it did have a lovely book cover.

Good read
Enjoyed this one very much for I love any story that has to do with the military, firefighters, police and medical personnel.
The novel is very bad, the protagonist is traveling all the time, knowing her daughter did not produce any emotion, it is slow and boring
I liked the main characters and the plot seemed ok but the story was kinda dull nothing new it a book that was written a hundred times just by different people nothing new
